An iPhone keyboard that finds any Magic: The Gathering card as you type its name and sends it into the chat as a link, its name, its rules text or the image.

Talking Magic over text means typing card names that autocorrect keeps undoing, or leaving the chat to look a card up, screenshot it and paste it back. CreatureType is a keyboard for that conversation.

Switch to it in any app, type a few letters of a card's name, and the matching cards come up inside the keyboard. Tap one and it goes into the thread.

Search runs on Scryfall's whole card database, and a double-faced card has a flip button. Four pills above the results set what a tap sends. Link drops in the card's image address on Scryfall, which Messages unfolds into the card itself. Name sends the exact name, spelled right. Text sends the rules text, so One with the Multiverse arrives as three lines nobody has to retype. Image copies the picture to paste. It works in Messages, Notes, Discord, WhatsApp and any other text field, and the app keeps a history of the last 50 cards you sent.

Full Access is there to reach Scryfall and nothing else

An iPhone keyboard can't touch the network until you switch on Allow Full Access, so without it there is no search and no image to copy. CreatureType asks for it for those two jobs. It never logs or sends what you type. A one-time unlock adds a second keyboard of filters, mana colors W U B R G C and eight card types, and a stats page of the cards, colors and sets you share most.
